A minimum of bachelor of science (NQF 7) in Statistics; (attach transcript) New entrants into the statistics environment (in other words, applicants must not have previously worked or held an statistics internship position) Knowledge of statistical software such as EVIEWS, SPSS, SAS, STATA, R or Python will be an added advantage Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Particularly Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team Good analytical, numerical and problem-solving skills Must be a South African citizen

Assist with Institutional research projects from planning through to reporting Support the collection of quantitative and qualitative data for institutional studies Assist with Institutional surveys, including questionnaire preparation, data collection and survey administration Assist with analysing research findings and preparing research reports Assist in compiling Institutional statistical report and performance reports Assist in preparing presentations and briefing material for management meetings and Academic committees Provide support on Institutional research and data analytics projects Participate in Departmental meetings, workshops and training activities Maintain project documentation, datasets and analytical records Assist with project coordination and administrative activities Perform any other duties related to Academic research, data analytics and reporting as assigned by the supervisor
