Salary: R 413,001.00 per annum

Implement & monitor all safety processes. Participate in the internal risk assessment process. Conduct OHS inspections. Investigate accidents and incidents. Conduct internal audits according to organizational procedures & legislation. Maintain SHE RISK system. Emergency Preparedness and Response. Effective Contractor safety management. Coordinate and participate in SHE-related meetings and safety campaigns. Gather input/data for SHE reports & statistics.
Prerequisites
NQF Level 6 qualification in Safety Management/Environmental Health Management as recognised by SAQA. Qualification in Safety Management/Environmental Health Management or related qualifications will be an added advantage. A training Course in Safety Management Training Course (SAMTRAC) and Environmental Health Awareness will be an added advantage. Registration with a professional body, the South African Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (SAIOSH). Minimum of 3 years relevant experience in Occupational Health and Safety and related field. Valid driver’s license except for people with disabilities.
Person Profile
Knowledge of Employee Health and Wellness Strategic Framework. Knowledge of Compensation for Occupational Injuries and Diseases Act (COIDA), Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) and its regulations. Understanding and application of Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (HIRA). Knowledge of Incident Cause Analysis Method (ICAM). Root Cause Analysis Technique (RCAT) for accident investigations. First Aid Training. International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO) 45001 & 14001 awareness. Sound verbal and written communication skills. Health & Safety Management System implementation. Functional Computer literacy (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Power Point and MS Outlook).
