Our client is looking for a Senior Materials Technician with solid experience in road infrastructure projects to contribute to the successful delivery of SANRAL and Provincial projects. This opportunity is ideally suited to a technically strong professional who understands COTO requirements and is confident working across construction sites and materials testing environments. Key Responsibilities: · Undertake material sampling and testing in accordance with applicable specifications. · Conduct routine and specialised testing of construction materials. · Verify that materials and workmanship comply with project requirements. · Support quality assurance and quality control activities throughout the project. · Compile and maintain accurate test reports and technical records. · Communicate test findings and non-conformances to relevant project personnel. · Work closely with site and engineering teams to address materials-related concerns. · Ensure testing activities are carried out safely and accurately. Key Requirements: · 8+ years of experience · Relevant Civil Engineering or Materials Testing qualification. · Senior-level experience in materials testing within the roads and infrastructure sector. · Previous exposure to SANRAL and Provincial road projects. · Practical knowledge of COTO requirements. · Knowledge of relevant road construction materials and testing procedures. · Ability to interpret project specifications and technical documentation. · Strong attention to detail and sound reporting skills. · Valid driver's licence.
