Are you a proactive compliance professional ready to take ownership of a group-wide framework? Our client is seeking a skilled Compliance & Governance Officer to oversee regulatory compliance, strengthen governance functions, and directly support their Wealth and Corporate divisions. Β
Framework & Governance Management: Manage and elevate the group's compliance framework, governance programmes, and internal risk assessments. Regulatory Oversight: Ensure ongoing alignment with PAIA, FICA, FSCA, and broader legislation, keeping policies, manuals, registers, and regulatory returns up to date. Monitoring & Audits: Track legislative changes, perform regular compliance monitoring, and conduct internal audits to implement necessary operational updates. Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a key point of contact for regulators, external compliance officers, and service providers. Division & Staff Support: Provide compliance advice to the Wealth Team and design/deliver engaging compliance training for staff
Education: Relevant qualification in Law, Compliance, Risk Management, or a related field. Experience: Minimum 3β5 years of experience in a compliance or governance role (financial services experience is highly advantageous). Regulatory Knowledge: Sound working knowledge of FICA, PAIA, FSCA requirements, and corporate governance principles. Core Competencies: Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities paired with high integrity, attention to detail, and top-tier communication skills.
