Job DescriptionWe currently have the above position available at our flexible packaging printing facility and wish to invite all suitably qualified applicants to submit their details for our consideration. As the Millwright, you will report directly to the Asset Care Manager and will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial machinery and mechanical systems in manufacturing plants, construction sites, or industrial facilities. The role requires strong technical skills, precision, and adherence to safety protocols.
Key responsibilitiesInstall, align, and secure heavy machinery and mechanical equipment. Perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure operational efficiency. Troubleshoot and repair faulty machinery components. Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and technical manuals. Use tools such as but not limited to hoists, welders, and hand tools. Dismantle and move machinery as needed. Fabricate parts or components when necessary. Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and procedures. Document maintenance and repair work performed.
To be considered for this position, you will need to meet the following minimum requirements:
Trade certification as a Millwright (e.g., Red Seal or equivalent). Proven experience as a millwright or industrial mechanic. Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. Ability to read technical drawings and schematics. Physical stamina and ability to work in confined or elevated spaces. Familiarity with safety standards and procedures
Working ConditionsIndustrial and manufacturing environments. May require overtime, shift work, or on-call availability. Exposure to noise, heat, dust, and heavy machinery.
