This is an opportunity to join a technically driven team responsible for the design, development, testing, and commissioning of integrated control systems for a diverse project portfolio.
Duties & Responsibilities Manage the day-to-day technical scope and deliverables on one or more control systems projects from concept through to handoverDesign and develop complete control system architectures including panels, industrial networks, PCs, PLCs, and SCADA systemsProgram and configure PLC and SCADA systems using platforms such as Siemens, Rockwell, Schneider Electric, and AVEVA WonderwareConduct factory acceptance testing (FAT) and site acceptance testing (SAT) to verify system performance against functional specificationsCarry out on-site commissioning activities, including I/O testing, loop checking, system integration, and troubleshootingPrepare and maintain technical documentation including functional design specifications, control philosophies, network architecture drawings, and test protocolsCollaborate with multidisciplinary project teams including electrical engineers, mechanical engineers, and client-side stakeholdersIdentify and resolve technical issues throughout the project lifecycle, escalating risks where necessarySupport continuous improvement by contributing to standardisation of control system templates, libraries, and best practicesEnsure all work is carried out in compliance with applicable safety standards and industry regulationsExperience & Qualifications BEng degree or National Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or Computer Science (non-negotiable)Minimum 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in PLC/SCADA control system project development and commissioningDemonstrable experience with control system platforms such as Siemens, Rockwell, Schneider Electric, or AVEVA WonderwareSolid understanding of industrial communication protocols and network architecturesExperience with panel design, I/O scheduling, and control system hardware specificationProven ability to manage technical project deliverables, timelines, and stakeholder expectationsStrong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a methodical approach to fault-finding and system diagnosticsWillingness to travel to site for commissioning activities as requiredValid driver's licenceExcellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal
