About the Role

TheĀ Risk AdministratorĀ provides critical administrative and operational support to the Risk Department in mitigating financial losses associated with cash management operations. The role is responsible for coordinating and maintaining records related to device attacks, incidents, insurance claims, investigations, and risk assessments. The incumbent supports the investigation process by capturing, tracking, and reporting on incidents, analysing trends and risk data, coordinating documentation with internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring the effective administration of risk-related activities. This role enables the Risk team to proactively manage security risks, improve controls, and support the protection of company assets, clients, and cash management devices across the network.


Key Responsibilities

Investigation SupportĀ 

Receiving and distribution of notifications of incidents to Risk Investigator and Risk Manager. Send notice of incident to Deployments so that arrangement can be made for the swop-out of the device. Notify the relevant Account Manager so that they are aware of the incident. Notify Settlements of incident so that bag can be settled. Notify Reconciliations of pending case so that they are aware of possible bag loss or shortage. Notify Technical Support if a technician needs to inspect the safe. Arrange visit of crime scene by the Risk Investigator and communicate the information with the account manager. Receive Investigation Report and Risk Assessment Report from Risk Investigator and Risk Manager for filing. Keep and update filing system for all Incident Reports and Risk Assessment Reports. Updating all relevant company systems and databases relating to the incidents. Updating CIT Shortages Report. Following up on submitted claims with CIT service providers and providing feedback to the Reconciliations and Finance teams. Submitting CIT Shortages Report to Operations Risk Manage on a weekly basis. Monitoring CITASA and other groups that focus on CIT Robberies, Business Robberies and Burglaries. Reporting any incidents reported to Cash Connect via the call centre or social media groups to the Operations Risk Manager immediately. Providing values exposed during incidents to relevant CIT companies, branch managers and Risk Managers. Advising Cash Connect account managers of incidents that occurred involving client cash bags.

Risk Assessment AssistanceĀ 

Identify sites that needs to be inspected or audited to confirm compliance of security measures. Providing details of sites that needs to be assessed to Risk Investigator. Arranging appointments with Account Manager or client for Risk Investigator to visit the site. Receive Risk Assessment Report from Risk Investigator and file the Report. Distribution of Risk Assessment Report to relevant Account manager or client.

Adhoc Operational tasksĀ 

Perform adhoc administrative duties as directed by the Risk Manager. Updating the SAP database with correct information relating to CIT routes and client codes. Assisting the Operations Risk Manager with the analysis of Value at Risk (VAR) on CIT routes. Monitoring and identifying routes that exceed the VAR threshold daily and reporting this to the Risk Manager for action. Any other task relevant to the role as directed by the Operational Risk Manager. Working closely with the CIT-Support team attending to any issues relating to CIT-Service providers. Performing CIT Support duties on a rotational basis with the rest of the CIT-Support team over weekends. Arranging yearly tag audits at CIT branches on a regular basis in cooperation with the CIT-Support team and CIT-Service providers. Providing a monthly Production Report of all functions performed to the Operations Risk Manager. Attending meetings with CIT service providers and other role players when necessary.

Qualifications & Experience

Grade 12 / Matric (essential). National Diploma or Degree in Risk Management, Security Management, Business Administration, Criminology, Forensic Investigation, Law Enforcement, or a related field (preferred). Advanced Microsoft Office proficiency, particularly Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Valid driver's license (advantageous). 2+ years' experience in an administrative, risk, security, investigations, insurance claims, or operations support environment. Experience maintaining records, reports, databases, and filing systems. Experience coordinating stakeholders and managing incident-related administration. Experience compiling and analysing reports, trends, and operational data. Exposure to cash management, banking, retail operations, Cash-in-Transit (CIT), security services, or a related industry would be advantageous.
