A family is looking for a TUTOR for their child in Grade R Area: Riviera, Pretoria Ages: Child in Grade R Working hours: Three days per week: 17h30 – 18h30 School holiday hours: no needed, school terms only
Duties:
Tutoring in age appropriate English and Maths skills. Develop letter recognition, teach letter sounds (phonics), encourage correct pencil grip and pre-writing skills, assist with tracing, copying and writing letters and simple words, read age-appropriate books to develop listening and comprehension skills. Teach rhyming words and sound awareness, support pronunciation and language development. Teach number recognition (0–20 and beyond as appropriate), counting skills, teach number sequencing and number formation, patterns and sequencing. Plan engaging, age-appropriate lessons tailored to the learner's developmental stage. Create a fun, positive and encouraging learning environment. Support the development of fine motor skills through cutting, colouring, threading and drawing activities. Requirements: Experience with Grade R tutoring / Early Childhood Development qualification Start date: ASAP start - permanent Salary: R250 - R300 per hour
