Are you an experienced warehouse professional with strong leadership skills and a passion for driving operational efficiency, maintaining high standards, and developing high-performing teams? Our client is seeking an experienced Warehouse Team Leader to provide effective team leadership within a designated warehouse section while supporting daily operations, workload coordination, and the achievement of operational and customer targets. This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on warehouse leader who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, coordinating teams, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring strong safety and operational standards.


Key Responsibilities

Lead and support a warehouse team to meet operational and customer demand. Train, mentor, and guide warehouse staff within the designated area of responsibility. Support management in maintaining inventory accuracy and ensuring correct stock movement recording. Maintain the accuracy and functionality of warehouse systems and equipment, including scanners, printers, and scales. Identify operational and system improvement opportunities and recommend practical solutions. Resolve operational issues within delegated authority and escalate where necessary. Prepare operational reports and productivity statistics relating to consumables, lunch breaks, overpicks, time and attendance, and other operational measures. Identify opportunities to reduce waste, idle time, and operational inefficiencies. Ensure machinery and equipment are maintained and fit for purpose. Ensure staff comply with health, safety, environmental, and security standards. Maintain a clean, safe, and secure working environment. Support time, attendance, and people management processes. Communicate operational targets, priorities, and expectations clearly to team members. Monitor team performance and report progress to management. Liaise with customers, suppliers, and transport partners as required. Participate in stock takes, operational meetings, and training sessions. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and operational standards.

Minimum Requirements

Grade 12 or equivalent. Proven experience as a Team Leader or Supervisor within a warehouse environment. 1–2 years' experience in a similar leadership role. Minimum 2 years' general warehouse experience. Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office. Experience with SAP, Qwix, or similar warehouse systems. Sound knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety regulations. Forklift certification will be advantageous.
