Weâre on the lookout for an experienced Assistant Handyman: Rigger to assist the Rigger and Handyman Rigger in performing rigging and related tasks.
As an Assistant Handyman: Rigger, you will be responsible for:
Loads rigging equipment onto a trolley and conveys it to the place of work or returns it to the rigging store Selects the correct lifting tackle and lifting equipment under instruction from the Rigger, Handyman Rigger, or Foreman Passes chain blocks, slings, and jacks to the Rigger, handyman Rigger or Foreman, places the items instructed by the Rigger, Handyman Rigger, or Foreman Collects spares and items from stores using the trolley or forklift Assists in the manual work of rigging Removal and installation of heavy equipment under the supervision of the Rigger, Handyman, or Foreman Reports any possible safety problems to the Rigger, handyman Rigger, or Foreman Maintains rigging store in a neat and tidy manner
 What are we looking for?
Matric or Grade 12 3 months of working experience as a General worker, with some knowledge of rigging
