The Dis-Chem Pharmacies Limited's Distribution Centre in Longmeadow is seeking a DC Outbound Junior Manager to join their team. This permanent role aims to maintain operational excellence within the Distribution Centres by directing and coordinating the outbound function.

Minimum Requirements: - Grade 12 (Matric) or Senior Certificate (Senior Certificate) - Relevant Degree/Diploma in Logistics or Supply Chain Management - Minimum 2 years relevant experience in Distribution, Logistics, or Supply Chain Environment - Advantageous: Relevant experience in Logistics/Supply Chain Management, Retail/Pharmaceutical Supply Chain, and experience with SAP, EWM, or other ERP systems

Job Specification: - Monitor and clean up the system using management tools available on SAP EWM - Plan and implement procedures and systems to maximize operational efficiencies - Manage daily customer orders and wave item clearing with no orders exceeding 48 hours - Assist with implementation and optimization of new projects to improve operational efficiency - Ensure all resources, including electronic equipment and materials handling equipment, are maintained in safe operating conditions - Ensure all orders are distributed as per Dis-Chem standard operating procedures - Maintain accuracy of replenishment system Master Data to fulfill purchase orders, report inventory issues, and optimize logistical efficiencies - Ensure optimal planning and forecasting of department resources to meet day-to-day strategic objectives - Anticipate issues and opportunities, and act proactively to address them - Analyze and interpret potential departmental shrinkage indicators and take appropriate action - Ensure stock is packed in the correct size box/tote, sealed, and labeled correctly - Ensure all goods dispatched are accompanied by a content list and correct labels - Ensure all stock leaving the area is scanned, and discrepancies are resolved - Ensure all goods are packed in a manner that prevents cross-contamination, damages, and maximizes box capacity - Resolve personnel issues by analyzing data, investigating issues, identifying solutions, and taking corrective action - Efficiently administer and report transactional excellence - Effectively resolve and communicate internal and external customer day-to-day queries - Identify supplier issues impacting required financial objectives and address them at the appropriate level internally and externally

Competencies: - Essential: English – Read, write, and speak; Basic Financial Skills (read and analyze financial reports); Leadership, motivation, and inspiration; Knowledge of Management Systems, Occupational Health and Safety Regulations, Emergency processes, Public Safety and Security, Customer Service, Transportation Principles and Methods, Production and Processing, Material Handling Standards, Administration and Management, Supply Chain, and Personnel and Human Resources Management - Special Conditions of Employment: South African Citizen, MIE, clear criminal and credit record, Driver's license and own reliable transport, ability to adapt to working hours (day, night, weekends, holidays, overtime), willingness to be rotated and perform any necessary functions within the department
