Job Description    

LEGiT, a division of Pepkor Trading, is looking for a dynamic and commercially driven E-Commerce professional to lead and grow our online presence. This role is ideal for a strategic thinker with a passion for digital retail, who can drive online revenue, optimise performance, and deliver an exceptional customer experience across all e-commerce platforms. You will play a key role in shaping and executing our e-commerce strategy, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure sustainable growth and innovation in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications    

Bachelor's degree / diploma in Marketing, Business Administration, Information Systems, E-commerce, or a related field

Knowledge, Skills and Experience    

5–7 years of progressive experience in e-commerce, with at least 2–3 years in a leadership or senior management role Proven track record of driving significant online revenue growth and improving key e-commerce metrics Extensive experience with e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify Plus, Magento, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, WooCommerce, Stock to Shop) Strong understanding of digital marketing channels, including SEO, SEM, Social Media, Email Marketing, and Content Marketing Deep knowledge of e-commerce best practices, trends, and emerging technologies Proficiency in web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics) with strong data interpretation skills Solid understanding of UX/UI principles and conversion rate optimisation (CRO) Familiarity with inventory management systems, payment gateways, and logistics solutions Working knowledge of IT systems and website development processes related to e-commerce Strong understanding of consumer behaviour and online purchasing psychology Awareness of relevant e-commerce laws and regulations (e.g., CPA, POPIA, ECT Act)
