Rustenburg Girlsâ High School is looking for an experienced Physical & Natural Sciences teacher to run the Physical Sciences department. Â This SGB educator post is available from 01 January 2027. Â The successful applicant will be expected to play a full role in the extra-mural life of the school, including as a Tutor in the Vertical Tutor System. Only short-listed candidates will be contacted and invited to an interview and will be taken on a tour of the school and expected to teach a lesson. Â We reserve the right not to fill the post. Duties and Responsibilities  Â
Teaching of Natural & Physical Sciences from Grade 8-12 as assigned. Managing the work, planning and budget of a department of three teachers. Ensuring that assessments are set, marked and moderated in accordance with policy Extra-mural and additional administrative duties as required Act as a Tutor within the school's Vertical Tutor System.Â
Minimum Requirements  Â
Knowledge and more than 8 yearsâ experience in teaching the CAPs curriculum in the GET & FET phases is essential. More than 5 yearsâ experience teaching Physical Science at the Grade 12 level is essential. Experience running a Physical Sciences department would be a significant advantage. Experience as an NSC marker would be an advantage. Must be computer literate and experienced in the use of technology for teaching and learning
