Lecturer

MTech/MSc qualification in Surveying/Geomatics or equivalent, with an undergraduate qualification in Surveying/Geomatics. At least 3 years of academic and/or professional experience. Required to currently be pursuing or immediately pursue a doctoral qualification in Surveying/Geomatics


Additional Recommendations

Good communication and lecturing skills A strong passion for teaching and research Good research track record or relevant research experience and an ability and desire to advance research development in the Department Professional registration with SAGC


Summary of Duties

Teaching, assessing, and supervising at all levels Development of learning material for Geomatics courses The successful candidate is expected to supervise or be actively involved in research in the Department Teaching, assessing, and supervising at all relevant levels. Responsible for modules allocated in accordance with fair workload distribution. Development of learning materials for different courses. Actively involved in research and/or post-graduate supervision in the department. Assist with administrative and other duties as prescribed by the Head of Department or representative as delegated. Contribute/lead curriculum design. Assist the department in the delivery of quality teaching and learning.
