Are you an experienced Project Planner with a strong background in mining and industrial construction projects? This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading engineering and construction environment, working on complex projects across the mining, industrial, infrastructure and energy sectors. We are looking for a highly organised Planner with expertise in SMPP (Structural, Mechanical, Piping & Platework) and Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) planning to play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and on schedule.

Develop, maintain and update detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project. Prepare baseline programmes, look-ahead schedules and recovery plans. Monitor project progress, identify schedule risks and recommend corrective actions. Coordinate planning activities across engineering, procurement, construction and project management teams. Monitor critical paths, project float and resource utilisation. Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, S-curves, manpower histograms and schedule performance reports. Assist with resource planning, forecasting and productivity monitoring. Participate in project planning meetings and provide scheduling support. Ensure planning activities comply with contractual requirements and company procedures. Promote compliance with SHEQ standards across all project activities.

Minimum Requirements

National Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management or a related technical discipline. 5–8 years' planning experience on mining, mineral processing, industrial or EPC/EPCM construction projects. Proven experience planning SMPP and Electrical & Instrumentation construction activities. Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 (essential). Strong knowledge of Critical Path Methodology (CPM), resource loading, forecasting and project scheduling. Excellent Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills. Experience preparing project reports, schedule analysis and forecasting. Valid driver's licence. Willingness to travel and work on remote project sites when required.
