The purpose of this role is to support effective day-to-day laboratory operations by ensuring the quality and integrity of raw materials, in-process samples, and final products. The position is responsible for maintaining and improving quality management systems, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards, and supporting production through accurate analysis and reporting. The role also includes coordinating laboratory activities such as shift planning, training, and performance monitoring, while ensuring adherence to company procedures and regulatory requirements. A strong focus is placed on maintaining high quality standards, meeting production KPIs, and driving continuous improvement within the laboratory environment.
Key Responsibilities, Tasks and Activities:
Health & SafetyCompliance with all EH & S guidelines and procedures and Quality Management System requirements.
Key Tasks
Ensure raw material verification, in-process, and final product samples Responsible for arrangement and planning of shift work and overtime control Maintain, control, and ensure correct quality and quantity product. Maintain and update work instruction, Maintain quailty mangement systems Update Quality reports Training and ensuring competency of personnel Work according to Integrated (Environmental, Safety and Quality) Management System requirements.
HousekeepingOtherPerform any other related duties in the interest of CEMZA as instructed. Work according to Integrated (Environmental and Quality) Management System requirements. Work according to Instructions / Procedures as pertaining to his/her operation function as assigned and abide by all legal (laws/by-laws) requirements / Company Policies and Practices
Qualification & ExperienceNational Diploma Analytical Chemistry 2 – 4 Years Experience Quality Control/Laboratory experience Familiar with Quality Management System Experience in highly sophisticated computer driven instruments. Ability to handle high volume workload and meet tight deadlines
