Bestmed Mpumalanga is currently seeking a Business Consultant for the Advisor Sales Channel Department.

Job Purpose

The primary responsibility is to manage advisor training, support, and relationship development to establish Bestmed as the leading medical scheme for intermediaries and their clients. The role involves crafting and implementing strategies that enhance the Advisor Sales Channel’s performance, with a focus on increasing Bestmed’s membership.

Requirements

The ideal candidate should possess

• A Grade 12 certificate with Mathematics or Maths Literacy (Mathematics symbol E or higher, Maths Literacy symbol C or higher) • A Diploma or Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Management, or Customer Relations • A minimum of 4 years’ experience in sales or customer relationship management within the financial services sector • A valid driver’s license and a reliable personal vehicle

Key Responsibilities

• Establish and nurture strong relationships with assigned brokers, ensuring consistent engagement, support, and resolution of queries while acting as the main liaison between brokers and the medical scheme. • Drive business growth by identifying and recruiting new brokerages, and supporting brokers in expanding their membership portfolios. • Promote the scheme’s products and value propositions in the market, attracting and retaining a robust risk pool that supports the long-term sustainability of the Scheme. • Provide brokers with regular training and updates on product benefits, changes, underwriting rules, compliance requirements, and industry trends. • Offer ongoing service and operational support by addressing membership-related queries, facilitating issue resolution, and collaborating with internal departments for a positive broker and member experience. • Gather and analyze market intelligence, monitor competitor activities, and identify business opportunities to feed into management’s strategic planning. • Ensure adherence to regulatory and company requirements, maintaining accurate records and reporting on performance and key business objectives.
