As a Creditors Clerk at Hungry Lion, you will be responsible for managing the creditors book, ensuring timely payments to suppliers, and maintaining accurate financial data. Key responsibilities include capturing invoices, reconciling supplier statements, preparing payment runs, and collaborating with other business units. To be successful, you should have at least 2 years of experience in creditors management, proficiency in MS Excel, and solid accounting knowledge.

**About the Opportunity**

As a Creditors Clerk at Hungry Lion, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the smooth operation of our financial processes. Your expertise in creditor management will ensure timely payments to suppliers, accurate financial reporting, and effective collaboration with various business units.

**Key Responsibilities**

• Ownership of the creditors book, encompassing the entire lifecycle of invoices, from initial capture to payment and reconciliation. This involves regular communication with suppliers to resolve outstanding issues and ensure a seamless process. * Ensuring the accuracy of financial data by capturing invoices, matching them to GRVs or POs, applying tax withholding, and reconciling supplier statements against the system to produce age analysis reports. * Preparing payment runs based on reconciliations, adhering to the full authorisation process, and providing proof of payment to suppliers upon completion. * Collaborating with Regional Management and Operations to investigate cash-up discrepancies related to local branch purchases and providing invoice detail for monthly tax preparation.

**Requirements**

• Matriculation with at least 2 years of experience working with creditors, preferably in an accounting or finance role. * Proficiency in MS Excel at an intermediate level, with a strong understanding of formulas, lookups, and working with large data sets. * Solid accounting knowledge and hands-on experience that can be applied immediately. * Advantageous qualifications include Accounting as a Matric subject, a relevant finance qualification, or experience working on Sage X3.
