BRIEF DESCRIPTION:-

The FAL Afrikaans Teacher role at Pinnacle College involves designing and delivering comprehensive educational programs to secondary school students, focusing on academic instruction, evaluation, and student conduct management. The ideal candidate holds a degree and a PGCE or Bachelor of Education (FET) in Afrikaans, possesses 2-5 years of teaching experience, and demonstrates strong interpersonal and organizational skills, along with proficiency in health and safety compliance.

Responsibilities

Instructors in the Further Education and Training (FET) phase are tasked with designing, arranging, and executing comprehensive educational programs in a secondary school setting that help students reach their full academic potential and equip them for life post-graduation. These educators should  :-

• Deliver future-oriented education that motivates, inspires, and challenges students • Demonstrate strong character, integrity, and professionalism consistently • Foster and nurture ongoing, constructive partnerships with fellow teachers, parents, guardians, and community members • Engage and collaborate positively, respectfully, and with an open mind, with all members of the learning community

They will be responsible for managing the following key performance areas  :-

• Academic Instruction • Academic Evaluation and Reporting • Student Conduct Management • School Representation and Promotion • Administrative Duties • Health and Safety Compliance

Qualifications & Experience

• A degree (NQF level 7) and a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) or Bachelor of Education (FET) with a focus on the subjects to be taught • SACE certification and a police clearance certificate are mandatory • 2-5 years of teaching experience • 2-5 years of experience teaching the specific subject • Proficiency in computer and digital technologies • First Aid certification
