Key Skills and Requirements:
Completed Matric or N3 Trade Tested Forklift Technician or Diesel Mechanic 3+ years post trade work experience with proven experience working on forklifts and/or earthmoving equipment Valid code 08 drivers' license - code 10 preferred Valid forklift license - highly advantageous Knowledge of electronics and electrical components Ability to read and interpret wiring circuit diagrams Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills Willingness to work on standby and attend to after-hours breakdowns
Duties and Responsibilitie:
Attend to breakdowns, including after-hours call outs and standby duties Service, repair and maintain electrical, gas and diesel-powered equipment Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults efficiently Maintaining high standards of workmanship and attention to detail Assisting with duties outside of the technical scope when required to ensure smooth fleet operations Building and maintaining strong customer relationships
