A leading opportunity is available for an accomplished Estimator to play a pivotal role within our client’s Building Division in KZN. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering technically sound and commercially competitive estimates for high-value construction projects. What You’ll Need: · BSc/ BTech in Quantity Surveying or equivalent · 6 to 10 years’ experience in estimating within a major building contractor. · Demonstrable experience with projects valued above R200 million. · Strong CCS Candy and advanced Microsoft Excel skills. · Solid understanding of cost planning and Bills of Quantities. · Knowledge of procurement strategies and construction contracts. · Strong commercial awareness and risk management capability. · Excellent attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tender requirements. The Role: · Manage complex tenders from initial enquiry through to final submission and contract award. · Analyse tender documentation, drawings, specifications and Bills of Quantities. · Develop detailed and competitive project pricing. · Formulate appropriate procurement and subcontracting strategies. · Identify, quantify and manage commercial and project risks. · Collaborate with technical, procurement and commercial stakeholders throughout the tender process. · Review supplier and subcontractor quotations and ensure pricing accuracy. · Present tender information and cost recommendations to senior and executive management. · Support the development of estimating standards, processes and best practices. · Coach junior members of the estimating team and promote continuous improvement.
