Job DescriptionSA Litho Label Printers is a reputable company specialising in the printing of labels. We are known for our commitment to quality, innovation, and customer satisfaction. As a General Assistant (Coding) in the Varnishing Department, you will report directly to the Value-Added Manager and will be responsible for assisting the Varnishing operator with production tasks, and help maintain a safe and efficient working environment.
The incumbent will be responsible for but not limited toAssist with machine setup, servicing, and wash-ups. Maintain housekeeping and ensure the work area is clean daily. Prepare jobs by removing old work, bringing the next job to the machine, and piling correctly. Check quality and alignment (front and back) while piling. Report irregularities to the operator or manager. Break paper stacks for smoother feeding and remove waste/crease sheets. Handle stack cards, job tickets, and ensure documentation follows the job. Knock up, wrap, weigh, and label completed stacks, then deliver to the next operation. Support varnishing by checking quality during production.
Desired Experience & Qualification
A minimum Grade 11 qualification Previous manufacturing/ label printing experience Able to multi-task and think on your feet Enthusiastic and eager team-player
