We are currently recruiting for an accomplished Machine Builder / Assembler for our client based in Bellville, Cape Town. Candidates should possess a minimum of five years of experience in a factory or manufacturing setting with proven expertise in machine building or mechanical assembly.

Requirements: - Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a factory or industrial environment. - Proven background in roles such as Machine Builder, Mechanical Assembler, or Fitter. - At least an N4 Mechanical qualification. - Qualified Fitter/Millwright Artisan certification. - Forklift License. - Basic proficiency in MIG/TIG welding. - Safety qualification or training (NOSA) is advantageous. - Strong knowledge in mechanical assembly and machine-building processes. - Ability to use electrical, mechanical, and standard hand tools effectively. - Proficiency in measuring equipment like verniers, angle protractors, squares, spirit levels, and tape measures. - Good understanding of mechanical components, fasteners, sheet metal, and structural materials. - Physically fit and capable of working at heights, climbing ladders, stairs, and pedestals when necessary. - Safety-conscious with a strong grasp of safe working practices. - Must have reliable personal transport for commuting to and from work, including overtime. - Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

Duties: - Assemble and fit components such as gearboxes, pulleys, sprockets, chains, conveyors, rollers, and bearing components. - Work with various types of sheet metal and structural materials including mild steel, stainless steel, aluminum, angle iron, tubing, flat bar, channels, and sectional materials. - Use electrical and mechanical hand tools, including drills, grinders, tapping machines, spanners, and other standard hand tools. - Utilize precision and general measuring equipment such as verniers, angle protractors, squares, spirit levels, and tape measures. - Handle various fasteners like bolts, nuts, screws, rivets, and rivnuts. - Perform basic MIG/TIG welding as needed. - Follow all workplace health and safety procedures and maintain a safety-conscious approach. - Work at heights, including climbing ladders, stairs, and pedestals as required. - Operate a forklift within the scope of the relevant license.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 16:30
