Position Overview: Our client in Brackenfell, Cape Town is seeking an accomplished Project Manager to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a Project Management, Mechanical or trade-related degree, complemented by 5-10 years of hands-on project management experience. Proficiency in mechanical and electrical systems, including HVAC components and their functionality, is mandatory. A commitment to continuous learning and improvement is highly valued. Possession of a valid driver’s license and personal vehicle is non-negotiable.

Requirements: - Relevant Project Management, Mechanical Degree, or trade-related qualification - Minimum 5-10 years' experience in a Project Management role, showcasing expertise in mechanical and electrical systems - Deep understanding of HVAC systems and components, with a proactive attitude towards enhancing technical knowledge - Valid driver's license and reliable personal vehicle necessary

Responsibilities: - Dynamically manage projects on-site, ensuring efficient execution and timely completion - Handle Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and oversee procurement of required materials - Take charge of claim submissions and negotiate necessary approvals - Develop comprehensive project plans, encompassing work schedules, completion deadlines, and resource allocation - Coordinating site meetings, providing clear instructions, and maintaining strict control over labor on projects - Manage contra charges effectively and maintain a solid grasp of building contracts and related requirements - Interpret and measure from technical drawings and plans with precision - Conduct accurate on-site measurements and liaise professionally with engineers, builders, and other stakeholders - Ensure successful project delivery, aligning completed scopes with as-built drawings - Compile and submit Operation & Maintenance (O&M) manuals - Exhibit exceptional communication skills and meticulous attention to detail throughout planning and execution

Working Conditions: - Permanent position with an immediate start - Monday to Thursday: 07:30 – 17:00 - Fridays: 07:30 – 16:15
