Motus Toyota Parktown currently holds a vacancy for a Specialist: Technician - Service Reporting to the Manager: Service, this position requires someone who will ensure Customer Satisfaction in the service and repair of motor vehicles in a safe and economical mannerRepair / service vehicles according to instructions in job cards and in terms of manufacturer’s specificationsService and Maintain the following:Assemble, dismantle, fit, inspect, install, remove and repair mechanical systems, components or sub-componentsInspect, replace and top-up vehicle system fluidsReport to Control any additional work required on the vehicleReport to Control if vehicle will not be ready on timeObtain authorization before ordering parts, outwork, etc. from Service Advisor and ForemanEnsure that the daily time ticket and the full story is entered in the job cardDelegate work to helpers / RSAs and check itInterpret and implement technical service instruction dataTake good care of customer’s car and contentsEnsure that seats covers and floor mats are in the customer vehicles that have been worked onTrain on-the-job and control ApprenticesEnsure up-to-date knowledge of productsAttend manufacturer sponsored coursesKeep work area clean and tidyKeep all Company tools and plant clean and in good orderUse protective covers on vehiclesAttend safety meetingsKeep own overalls clean and tidySign out and in special tools and materials and ensure that they are used correctlyAssist with the reception and delivery of goodsPerform any other duty which may be required from time to time KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:Must have at least a minimum of Grade 12Must have the Relevant QualificationMust have a clear Criminal RecordValid Driver’s LicenseOwn hand tools as per Toyota scheduleGood customer orientationGood team player
