TRAINEE: FINANCE & INSURANCE (12-MONTH FIXED-TERM CONTRACT | MOTUS RETAIL) Are you eager to kickstart your career in Finance & Insurance within the automotive retail sector? Motus Retail is seeking a driven, customer-oriented, and commercially aware Trainee: Finance & Insurance to join our dealership network for a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is a remarkable opportunity for a graduate or qualified individual to gain practical, hands-on experience in the Finance & Insurance environment while learning from seasoned F&I professionals. The chosen candidate will be required to engage in relevant workplace learning and development activities throughout the 12-month contract.

TRAINEE'S ROLE Trainees will be immersed in the entire F&I process, including vehicle finance applications, customer interaction, value-added products, administration, compliance, and deal processing. This 12-month opportunity allows the successful candidate to acquire valuable practical experience, broaden industry-specific knowledge, and establish a robust foundation for a career in Finance & Insurance within Motus Retail.

JOB PURPOSE The Trainee: Finance & Insurance will support the F&I team in managing finance and insurance processes related to vehicle sales while acquiring practical knowledge and experience in the F&I environment. The role offers structured workplace learning and exposure to finance and insurance products, customer service, regulatory requirements, dealership processes, and relationships with finance houses and insurance providers. The successful applicant is expected to develop the necessary knowledge, skills, and competencies to progress toward a career in Finance & Insurance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Finance & Insurance Support - Assist with the preparation and submission of finance applications. - Learn and develop an understanding of vehicle finance structures and finance house requirements. - Gain exposure to finance and insurance products and value-added products (VAPs). - Understand how F&I products contribute to dealership profitability.

Customer Experience - Provide customers with a professional and welcoming F&I experience. - Develop strong customer service and relationship-management skills. - Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when handling customer information.

Compliance & Governance - Gain an understanding of the regulatory environment applicable to F&I within the automotive retail industry. - Familiarize yourself with the requirements of: - National Credit Act (NCA) - Financial Advisory and Intermediary Services (FAIS) Act - Financial Intelligence Centre Act (FICA) - Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) - Consumer Protection Act (CPA) - Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) principles - OEM standards and dealership policies - Assist with maintaining accurate and complete customer and deal documentation.

Administration - Accurately prepare and timely submit finance and insurance documentation. - Maintain accurate records and filing systems. - Perform general administrative duties related to the F&I function.

Relationship Management - Develop positive working relationships with: - Customers - Sales Executives - Sales Managers - Dealer Principal - Finance and insurance providers - Finance houses and banks - Other dealership support functions

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS - South African citizen. - Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent. - Tertiary qualification in Finance, Accounting, Management Accounting, or a related field. - Valid South African driver's licence. - Computer literate with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office. - Strong numerical and analytical ability. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Strong administrative and organizational skills. - High attention to detail and accuracy. - Strong willingness to learn and develop. - Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
