We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established agricultural firm that is looking for a dynamic and experienced Area Product Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for enhancing the company's market presence and achieving revenue growth in the Western, Southern, and Northern Cape regions.
Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Leading and expanding the company's agricultural product portfolio in the assigned area * Promoting product adoption and exploring opportunities to introduce advanced agricultural solutions to growers * Building and nurturing strong relationships with agricultural distributors, dealers, and commercial growers * Offering technical training, commercial support, and strategic advice to distribution partners * Identifying new market opportunities across different crop types and production areas * Meeting and exceeding regional revenue goals and market share growth through existing and new distribution partnerships * Evaluating distributor performance and pinpointing areas to enhance the distribution network * Representing the company in customer meetings, technical discussions, and industry events * Keeping track of market trends, competitor activities, and regional sales performance * Performing any other duties as required by the role
Essential qualifications, skills, and experience:
• A relevant tertiary degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Horticulture, or a related field • At least three years of experience in agricultural sales, technical product development, or portfolio management • Comprehensive technical knowledge of crop production and agricultural products • Experience working with agricultural distributors, dealers, and commercial growers • A strong commercial mindset with a proven track record of developing business and driving sales growth • Excellent relationship-building, negotiation, and communication skills • Self-motivated, results-driven, and capable of working independently • Willingness to travel extensively throughout the designated region • A valid driver’s license
