BRIEF DESCRIPTION:-

The Scientific Technician: Agricultural Resource Management will support the implementation of methodologies, provide technical support, assist in research and development, and manage data analysis at Cedara Research Station. Key requirements include an NQF level 6 Diploma in Plant or Crop Production, SACNASP registration, and proficiency in scientific methodologies and computer applications.

SALARY: R352 299 per annum

LOCATION: Cedara Research Station

REQUIREMENTS

An NQF level 6 Diploma in Plant or Crop Production. - Mandatory registration with SACNASP as a Candidate Certificated Natural Scientist and a valid driver’s license. - No prior experience required. - Proficiency in scientific methodologies, research and development, and legal compliance knowledge. - Skills include computer-aided scientific applications, technical report writing, decision making, analytical thinking, creativity, self-management, customer focus and responsiveness, communication, computer literacy, planning and organizing, conflict management, problem solving, and analysis.

DUTIES

Support the implementation of methodologies, policies, systems, and procedures. - Offer technical support and provide recommendations or advice. - Assist in developing databases, managing data, and conducting subsequent analysis. - Engage in research and development activities. - Aid in administrative and related tasks.
