Dis-Chem Pharmacies is seeking a skilled Cosmetic Manager for their Willowbridge store. The successful candidate will oversee the cosmetic and beauty sections, ensuring the effective promotion and sale of Dis-Chem’s cosmetic and beauty products. This role requires providing outstanding and consistent customer service, and ensuring staff are available on the floor to assist customers.

Minimum Requirements

Essential: - Grade 12 / Matric - A minimum of 3 years’ experience in cosmetics or beauty within a retail environment - Previous supervision and management of a staff complement of around 7 - Computer literate – proficiency in MS Office - Willingness and ability to work retail hours

Advantageous: - SAP experience - Qlikview experience

Job Specification

• Direct and support sales staff under the guidance of the Store Manager, adhering to Dis-Chem’s policies, procedures, and retail working standards. - Ensure Cosmetic Consultants are allocated to the appropriate and relevant sections. - Manage and encourage staff feedback and provide relevant training. - Ensure the store is adequately staffed at all times. - Be accountable for and manage stock control through effective planning and ordering in collaboration with Dis-Chem’s warehouse. - Handle and address customer compliments and escalate serious, unresolved complaints to the Store Manager or Regional Cosmetic Manager. - Maintain merchandising and displays to uphold a high standard of cleanliness. - Implement monthly promotions to achieve departmental targets. - Stay up-to-date with in-depth knowledge of products, brands, and market trends.

Competencies

Essential: - Strong command of the English language (both written and oral) - Team player - Provide excellent customer service - Understand stock reports and sales (target and commission calculations)

Advantageous: - Training, development, and performance management of staff - Bilingual
