Description
We are currently seeking an experienced Export Operations Manager with a customer service-oriented approach and significant export expertise to join our Growth Division in Durban. The role involves supporting our Export Country Managers and serving as a crucial link between customers and internal teams to facilitate efficient sales execution and smooth export operations.
Minimum Requirements
A National Diploma or Degree in Marketing, Business Science, Logistics, or Supply Chain Management. 3–5 years of relevant professional experience. In-depth knowledge of export systems, processes, and compliance requirements, including Customs & Excise, freight forwarding, shipping, banking, export risk management, and VAT compliance. Comprehensive understanding of Incoterms. Advanced proficiency in computer applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint. Operational familiarity with SAP authorization and GRC systems. Fluency in English, with French or Portuguese being a plus.
Duties & Responsibilities
Provide day-to-day support and coordinate key export administration activities for Export Country Managers. Screen and manage export enquiries, ensuring proper assessment and appropriate direction of opportunities. Collaborate with internal teams and external service providers to meet customer, logistics, regulatory, quality, and country-specific requirements. Assist with sales reporting, forecasting, pricing, deals, claims, and outstanding-order management. Work closely with freight forwarders, transporters, clearing agents, and logistics partners to facilitate a seamless route to market. Coordinate export licenses, regulatory requirements, plant compliance, and country-specific packaging needs. Support customer relationships, promotions, and sales activities in key export markets. Maintain accurate export pricing, product information, catalogues, and SKU/pack details. Coordinate the resolution of customer quality complaints and product recalls as needed. Travel locally and internationally when required.
