Position Summary: The role of Fleet Management Specialist involves overseeing all facets of fleet operations. This includes monitoring fleet activities, managing wages, tracking fuel consumption, planning routes, and scheduling. Additionally, it entails continuous evaluation of driver and vehicle performance and identifying opportunities to enhance productivity. Furthermore, responsibilities encompass driver coordination, ensuring adherence to regulations and company policies, and executing assigned tasks. Effective communication with drivers, order tracking, and compliance with safety standards are also integral to this role. Vehicle maintenance coordination, including scheduling services and conducting COF inspections, is essential to ensure fleet safety and roadworthiness. Lastly, generating comprehensive reports on fleet performance, efficiency, and productivity for management is required.
Requirements: - Matric certificate - Minimum 2-3 years of experience in fleet management or related field - Proficiency in fleet management and familiarity with tracking technology is advantageous - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Excellent communication and organizational abilities - Sober habits - Willingness to work extended hours, including public holidays and weekends - Computer literacy, with specific experience in Excel (mandatory) - Own transport
