Our client in Gauteng is looking for a General Manager to join their team The General Manager will be responsible for the safe, efficient operations of the Tissue Manufacturing value chain at the Tissue Mill units.
Minimum requirements5+ years’ experience at a management level in a manufacturing environment, paper and milling industry or tissue making Industrial Relations Experience Diploma or Degree in Management, Business Administration or in the Engineering field Excellent interpersonal and team building skills, Well-developed verbal, written and oral presentations communication skills, Employment Equity requirements: EE
Key responsibilities:
Ensure delivery and drive improvements of site Safety, Health, Environment and Risk programs, Lead a multidisciplinary management team to achieve business plan objectives, Development of an effective, capable and high performing operational organization, Lead, Drive and Promote a culture of high performance and continuous improvement in all aspects of the business, Determine and implement operating strategies, including optimization programs to minimize operating cost and improving product quality, Help in the forecasting and planning for ongoing operational needs, including technology, facilities, equipment and manpower, Forster and co-manage a constructive industrial relations climate at the facilities, Ensure compliance with all legislative, environment requirement permits
