M-Sure is currently seeking a qualified and experienced Junior Financial Manager to join our dynamic and highly skilled finance team. The successful candidate will report directly to the Finance Manager.

JOB DESCRIPTION: M-Sure is on the lookout for a dedicated and enthusiastic Finance Manager who can contribute to and execute our strategic objectives. This role involves leading people, refining systems, establishing policies, and minimizing risk. This is a prime opportunity to devise innovative solutions to help us achieve our business goals and drive growth.

The successful candidate will be adept at embracing change, proactive in generating new ideas, and report directly to the Senior Financial Manager.

DUTIES / KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: - Oversee all financial aspects, such as budget development, planning, reporting, account management, and financial reporting. - Manage all operational activities to ensure safe and cost-effective management. - Maintain overall supervision and responsibility for the accuracy and completeness of accounting records for each operating entity. - Develop meaningful recommendations and highlight concerns or anomalies by analyzing and scrutinizing financial information. - Prepare and submit accurate financial reports using Hyperion on a monthly basis, adhering to predetermined deadlines. - Analyze monthly cash flows against forecasts and budgets. - Manage the annual budget and quarterly forecast process, monitor expenses, conduct balance sheet reconciliations, and oversee reporting processes. - Review consolidated monthly management accounts and provide insightful commentary. - Consolidate financial reports (quarterly Board Packs, including Risk Register) and provide value-adding recommendations using information from various sources. - Analyze fund performance monthly and liaise with fund actuaries. - Engage with all operational departments and head office finance on financial matters. - Evaluate financial processes and implement corrective actions to ensure alignment and standardization within the division. - Ensure change controls, internal quality assurance reviews, and other internal management processes are followed. - Oversee the development and implementation of finance projects. Engage with business, software, and IT. - Support business and finance operations departments. - Review tax returns to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable tax legislation and regulation. - Provide advice and solutions to business tax matters. - Review monthly VAT returns to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable VAT legislation and regulation. - Engage with internal and external auditors.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: - Bachelor’s degree in Business or equivalent. - Experience with multiple interlinking systems. - Proven experience as a finance manager. - Experience with ERP system migration (preferred). - Strong operational finance experience. - Strong people management experience. - Experience with Great Plains and HFM is advantageous. - Articles experience (preferred).
