Dis-Chem Pharmacies Limited is seeking a Merchandiser for their Thavhani Mall location. The successful candidate will ensure adherence to Dis-Chem's basic merchandising standards and provide exceptional customer service.

Minimum Requirements: - Grade 12 / Matric - Up to 6 months of retail experience - Proficient in computer use, particularly MS Office - Willingness to work retail hours - Advantageous: At least 1 year of retail experience

Job Description: - Restock merchandise to maximize sales - Store and pack delivered stock and items pulled from the storeroom in designated spaces at timely intervals - Monitor stock on shelves to ensure they haven't reached their sell-by date - Maintain a complete range of products on shelves at all times - Implement a regular FIFO rotation of stock - Report low stock levels, out-of-stock items, damaged stock, and expired stock to management - Assist with stock counting and general stocktaking - Follow Dis-Chem's operating standards, store layout, and planograms - Flatten boxes after unpacking and transport them to the designated area - Keep shelves and products neat and visible, with accurate labels and pricing - Report price discrepancies to management - Stay updated on current and new products - Build, face up, stock, and maintain merchandising displays - Maintain daily cleanliness of the store and merchandise displays - Be responsible for designated stock in the storeroom and on the shop floor - Assist with loading and off-loading of stock - Ensure items lacking barcodes are clearly marked - Assist with back shopping - Provide friendly, helpful, and courteous assistance and advice to all customers - Follow up on out-of-stock queries from customers using the customer service out-of-stock list - Resolve all customer stock queries - Wear correct uniform and badge at all times - Minimize losses by handling merchandise carefully - Adhere to Dis-Chem policies, procedures, SOPs, and health and safety rules and regulations

Competencies: - Strong command of the English language - Presentable demeanor - Effective engagement with customers, management, and staff - Trustworthy and honest - Strong time management skills - Advantageous: Bilingual skills - Knowledge of merchandising standards and the FMCG industry - Product and category knowledge - Ability to analyze ZMORE reports for ordering and stock taking - Ability to report bad or suspicious behavior involving staff and customers
