Our client, a leading organization in the manufacturing sector, is currently looking for an experienced Fitter to deliver comprehensive mechanical maintenance support in their facility. This role demands an individual capable of responding to equipment failures and supporting the plant's reliability through preventative maintenance.
Duties: · Mechanical maintenance and repair of production equipment · Investigation and resolution of mechanical breakdowns · Performance of preventative maintenance following scheduled plans · Inspection of machinery and mechanical parts for signs of wear and damage · Maintenance and repair of pumps, gearboxes, conveyors, and related equipment · Replacement of bearings, seals, couplings, and other mechanical components · Assistance with machinery installations and equipment upgrades · Participation in scheduled maintenance shutdowns · Conduct mechanical inspections and identify potential risks · Interpretation of mechanical drawings and equipment specifications · Completion of maintenance documentation and job cards · Collaboration with production teams to resolve equipment-related issues · Adherence to all applicable safety procedures and maintenance standards
