An established FMCG manufacturing company in KwaZulu-Natal is on the lookout for a seasoned and dynamic Raw Materials Store Manager who is prepared to make a significant impact within a fast-paced manufacturing setting. This is an exceptional opportunity to spearhead raw materials store operations, enhance stock control, and ensure the seamless and efficient supply of materials to the production line.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

• Supervise overall management of raw materials stores (both on-site and off-site), encompassing secondary packaging and divider cleaning. - Maintain batch traceability and adhere to FIFO (First In, First Out) principles for HDPE and all materials, including cataloguing regrind and prioritizing the issuance of the oldest bags. - Oversee the Goods Received Voucher (GRV) process. - Identify and implement measures to mitigate or eliminate stock and process control risks, including conducting stock counts, tracking stock movements, and enforcing process controls. - Manage the raw materials shuttle truck. - Conduct weekly, monthly, and annual stocktakes, including unplanned spot checks. - Take responsibility for variances in raw materials and packaging stock. - Administer incoming inspections of raw materials and packaging to confirm specifications are met, including: - HDPE / PP - bag weights - Pallets - dimensions - Secondary packaging - dimensions and artwork - Bags - dimensions and microns - Decoration - colour and artwork - Administer raw materials stock transactions within SAP. - Ensure accurate and timely distribution of raw materials to production departments and proper stock handling. - Maintain adequate buffers of secondary packaging to support supply continuity and provide Procurement with weekly updates on decoration stock balances. - Manage and maintain off-site equipment, ensuring proper care of assets such as divider cleaners, floor cleaners, and operating equipment. - Promote customer satisfaction, both internal and external. - Manage waste through collection from plants, separation with waste partners, supplier collections, and sales to third parties, as well as reconciliation of waste against SAP scrapping transactions. - Ensure that invoices, receipts, and other relevant documentation are accurate and comply with ISO 9001 and FSSC 22000 standards. - Manage departmental budgeting and forecasting with the Supply Chain Executive, covering wages, consumables, maintenance, and projects. - Drive departmental projects to completion and ensure efficiency gains are realized. - Manage the departmental budget. - Lead and develop the team through ongoing training, individual and team performance management, compliance with HR and IR policies, and adherence to training plans. - Maintain a safe working environment and uphold excellent housekeeping standards.

KEY COMPETENCIES AND REQUIREMENTS

The successful candidate will need to fulfill the following criteria

• A BCom degree in Supply Chain Management or Logistics. - Proven track record in warehouse management and performance excellence within an FMCG supply chain environment. - Strong SAP knowledge, including the ability to troubleshoot system issues. - Sound understanding of the plastics and packaging industry. - Computer literacy, including proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. - Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment with high attention to detail and accuracy. - Self-disciplined, proactive, and results-driven. - Capability to build effective working relationships quickly.
