**Job Summary:**
As a key member of our purchasing team, the Senior Productivity Buyer plays a pivotal role in driving supplier performance improvement across multiple plants. The primary objective of this position is to align with our purchasing strategy and ensure seamless execution of productivity actions that result in cost reduction, quality enhancement, and improved delivery performance.
**Key Responsibilities:**
Our Senior Productivity Buyer will be responsible for
- Collaborating with Commodity teams to identify and implement productivity initiatives aimed at reducing costs, with a focus on product and process improvements. * Leading cross-functional teams within the plants under their responsibility to monitor and improve productivity performance, presenting productivity plans to plant management boards. * Challenging Commodity Buyers to meet Purchasing Budget targets for their respective plants. * Providing critical support to the Supply Chain team in reducing supplier deviations related to misdeliveries per million (MPM) for high-priority topics. * Participating in program kickoffs to prepare for production start-ups and leading transfer meetings with Program Buyers during handovers. * Negotiating Engineering Change Requests and product productivity improvements in close collaboration with Commodity teams.
**Requirements:**
To succeed in this role, we are seeking an individual with:
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or Business, with a specialization in international purchasing or supply chain management preferred. * A minimum of 3 years of experience in purchasing, production, quality, or sales, with automotive experience being highly desirable. * Strong knowledge of productivity/lean management methodologies, production, quality, and logistics. * Fluency in English and the ability to work effectively within a matrix organization. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong ability to build relationships with stakeholders. * A nice-to-have: knowledge of products and technology, supplier audit processes, and quality management.
