Dis-Chem Pharmacies Limited is seeking a skilled Clinic Nurse Practitioner to join our team in Cresta. The primary responsibility of this role is to oversee and manage a thriving Primary Health Care Clinic, which operates within the confines of a pharmacy, in accordance with the scope of a registered nursing practitioner.

Minimum Requirements

Essential: - Grade 12 / Matric - Tertiary qualification in General Nursing - Degree/Diploma in Midwifery - Registered with South African Nursing Council (SANC) - BHF registration for the nursing practitioner - 2-3 years’ experience in Primary Health Care Clinic practice - Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

Advantageous: - Minimum 5 years of experience as a Primary Health Care Sister - Familiarity with Patient Record System, CKS, and Allegra

Job Description

• Conduct Clinic Sister duties in compliance with industry standards and practices - Maintain the average patient flow rate and set clinic objectives to enhance patient satisfaction - Ensure all clinic services are accessible and up to date - Keep precise records of patient details and follow up on all communications - Ensure clinic operational hours are adhered to and all claims are processed accurately and promptly - Maintain clinic stock and equipment in optimal working condition - Build and sustain positive relationships with patients, Store and Dispensary Manager, colleagues, medical aids, suppliers/reps, key community players, and other healthcare professionals

Competencies

Essential: - Comprehensive knowledge of community health nursing, primary health care, occupational health nursing, family planning, cytology, IUD, pharmacology, EPI/cold chain management, STDs, emergency care, HIV/AIDS pre- and post-counseling, breastfeeding, pathology, and wound care - Commitment to quarterly CPD training and in-service training with Dis-Chem - Strong command of English (both written and oral) - Understanding of the financial implications of meeting or exceeding set monthly targets - Strong analytical skills in evaluating monthly clinic statistics and commission - High emotional intelligence; entrepreneurial spirit; trustworthy and honest - Ability to manage team and self-direction; self-motivated - Excellent time management

Advantageous: - Bilingual - Knowledge and understanding of business objectives - Baby Immunisation Course (DoH/ Sanofi Pasteur); Family planning (DoH); Primary Health Care Course; Breastfeeding course; Disease management course
