Role Purpose

As the Domain Leader at Unifi, you will direct, chart the roadmap and oversee the execution of a specific domain, aligning it with Unifi’s overarching business objectives and growth strategy. Your role involves identifying opportunities and devising practical solutions that enhance client experience and elevate business performance. Responsibilities

• Lead the strategic direction and roadmap of the domain, ensuring alignment with Unifi’s business goals. - Prioritize initiatives and manage trade-offs based on business value, client impact, technical complexity, and capacity. - Collaborate with country teams to grasp their requirements and challenges, thereby devising straightforward solutions that support both Unifi and our clients. - Examine client journeys, business processes, and systems to pinpoint areas for improvement in client experience and business performance. - Tackle issues by analyzing data and questioning assumptions to find root causes and develop practical solutions. - Oversee dependencies across various teams and systems, harmonizing domain priorities with Unifi’s objectives. - Work alongside business analysts and development teams to design, implement, and validate solutions. - Lead, mentor, and develop business analysts, contributing directly to problem-solving and project execution. - Monitor product performance and evaluate whether implemented solutions meet their intended goals. - Foster trust and open communication channels with country teams to encourage candid feedback. - Challenge existing processes and uncover opportunities to streamline, automate, and enhance our operations.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in product management, business analysis, consulting, technology, operations, or a related field. - Experience in financial services, lending, or the African market is advantageous but not mandatory. - Proficient in data analysis with the ability to discern trends, extract insights, and make data-driven decisions. SQL expertise is highly desirable. - A relevant qualification is beneficial, though strong analytical and problem-solving skills are paramount. - Proven experience in steering products or projects from conception to delivery with measurable results. - Strong analytical and business acumen, leveraging data to inform decisions and set priorities. - Experience in creating product roadmaps and collaborating with software development teams. - Curious and willing to question assumptions, ask pertinent questions, and delve into details. - Comfortable navigating ambiguity and adept at tackling unclear problems and devising effective approaches. - Proactive, hands-on, and capable of navigating a fast-paced environment with competing priorities. - Skilled in building relationships, communicating clearly, and respectfully challenging ideas. - Takes ownership, remains focused on practical results, and is willing to travel across Africa as needed.
