Position Overview

We are on the lookout for a seasoned Feature Analyst who actively engages in detailed analysis within an Agile framework. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with Business Stakeholders, Product Owners, Architects, Engineers, and Test Analysts to transform business goals into precise Features, Epics, User Stories, and Acceptance Criteria that drive the realization of business value.

Key Responsibilities

• Elicit, analyze, and document business, customer, and operational requirements. - Translate business objectives into clear Features, Epics, User Stories, and Acceptance Criteria. - Perform impact, dependency, gap, and process analyses. - Facilitate workshops, stakeholder engagements, and backlog refinement sessions. - Support feature prioritization and backlog management. - Work closely with Product Owners, Engineering, and Testing teams throughout the delivery lifecycle. - Ensure that delivered solutions meet business objectives and customer needs. - Identify opportunities for business process improvement and operational optimization. - Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of analysis and delivery methodologies.

Essential Experience

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in Agile delivery environments. - Minimum 4 years’ experience in Feature Analysis, Functional Analysis, Systems Analysis, or Business Analysis. - Demonstrated experience in: feature discovery and analysis, requirements elicitation, feature decomposition, user story creation, acceptance criteria definition, backlog refinement, impact and dependency analysis, stakeholder facilitation. - Experience working with Azure DevOps (ADO), Jira, Confluence, and related delivery tools. - Financial Services experience is advantageous.

Highly Advantageous Experience

• Business Process Analysis and Process Mapping. - Process Re-engineering and Operational Optimization initiatives. - Customer Journey Mapping and Process Improvement. - Experience supporting automation, digitization, or transformation initiatives where existing processes were redesigned to improve customer experience, efficiency, risk management, or operational effectiveness.

Critical Requirements

• Cape Town Based: Candidates must be permanently based in Cape Town and available for onsite workshops and stakeholder engagements when required. - Current Hands-On Feature Analyst: We specifically seek candidates who are currently engaged in Feature Analysis activities as part of their day-to-day responsibilities. Candidates should demonstrate recent experience in: feature discovery and refinement, user story creation, acceptance criteria definition, stakeholder workshops, backlog refinement, and requirement clarification with Engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Information Systems, Computer Science, Commerce, Engineering, or related discipline. - Agile, Scrum, SAFe, CBAP, CCBA, or similar certifications are advantageous.
