Job DescriptionWe are looking for a commercially driven Product Manager to manage and grow a portfolio of cleaning chemicals, equipment and paper products. The successful candidate will be responsible for product sourcing, supplier management, pricing, product launches, sales support and overall portfolio profitability.
Key Requirements
Grade 12; relevant tertiary qualification in Marketing or a related field advantageous. 3–5 years’ experience in a similar Product Management or Category Management role. Experience specifically within cleaning chemicals, cleaning equipment and/or paper products. Strong sales and relationship management experience. Experience in supplier negotiations and contract management. Knowledge of product verification, certification and regulatory compliance. Experience with product launches, market positioning and go-to-market strategies. Strong commercial understanding of pricing, margins, profitability and ROI. Strong Excel, Word and Outlook skills. Valid driver’s licence, reliable vehicle and willingness to travel.
Key ResponsibilitiesManage and develop the product portfolio to maximise sales and profitability. Source new products and manage supplier relationships and negotiations. Develop pricing strategies and maintain appropriate margins. Identify market opportunities, threats and trends. Drive successful product launches and go-to-market initiatives. Build relationships with key customers and support the sales team. Provide product training to sales teams and customers. Conduct product profitability and ROI analysis. Work closely with Supply Chain to resolve product availability and logistics issues. Support marketing campaigns, promotions and industry events. Monitor product performance and recommend product additions or rationalisation.
