Extensive travel required. Build robust franchisee partnerships. Enhance store performance. Expand the franchise network. An established automotive battery retail franchise network seeks a commercially savvy Area Manager for Inland operations to develop and support its regional presence.
This hands-on role involves multi-store operational support, franchisee relationship management, training and business development. Collaborate with business owners and store teams to improve performance, uphold standards, and successfully open new stores.
Key Responsibilities
• Establish and nurture strong franchisee relationships and conduct frequent store visits. • Boost sales, product adoption, and operational performance. • Perform store audits, ensure compliance, and follow up on corrective actions. • Train and mentor franchisees and store teams on products, systems, and customer service. • Coordinate new store setup, launch readiness, and post-opening support. • Identify and cultivate new franchisees, locations, and growth opportunities. • Maintain precise records, generate performance reports, and suggest process improvements.
Minimum Requirements
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in retail, franchise operations, sales, operations management, or business development. • Demonstrated experience in sales and business development. • Experience in store openings, operational implementation, training, coaching, and audits. • Franchise experience is highly beneficial; multi-site retail experience is preferred. • Automotive, battery, FMCG, or related retail experience is advantageous. • Preferred: a diploma or equivalent qualification in Business Administration, Retail Management, Sales, Marketing, Operations Management, or a related field. • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, and reporting tools. • Ability to analyze business performance and apply sound commercial principles. • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship management skills. • Capacity to influence business owners and store teams, address non-compliance, and manage competing priorities. • Willingness to travel extensively across the Inland region.
