Our client in the FMCG sector within Gauteng is looking for an experienced Instrumentation Technician to enhance the efficiency and reliability of automated production systems. This position requires a technician with hands-on experience and comprehensive knowledge in instrumentation, suited for a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Duties: - Execute planned and preventive maintenance on instrumentation. - Address instrumentation breakdowns and diagnose faults. - Calibrate and maintain control and measurement devices. - Troubleshoot sensors, transmitters, control valves, and related equipment. - Support the fault finding for PLCs and automation systems. - Conduct inspections of instrumentation systems to spot potential issues. - Assist with commissioning and installation of new instrumentation solutions. - Contribute to process control improvements and equipment upgrades. - Maintain calibration schedules and technical documentation. - Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to reduce downtime. - Investigate persistent faults and aid in corrective measures. - Adhere to all safety, quality, and housekeeping standards.

Minimum Requirements: - Matric and Instrumentation Trade Test. - 3-5 years of experience as an Instrumentation Technician in the FMCG industry. - Strong expertise in industrial instrumentation and control systems. - Familiarity with PLCs, SCADA, or other automation systems. - Practical skills in fault-finding and calibration. - Ability to interpret instrumentation and electrical schematics. - Understanding of process control principles. - Technical proficiency.
