Primary Purpose of the Role
To assume primary responsibility and accountability for overseeing the comprehensive management of Press Part Manufacturing, encompassing all plant support functions, to guarantee fulfillment of customer requirements via cost-effective resource utilization, adherence to timelines, and quality standards.
Key Performance Areas
- Assume overall operational management for Plant 2, functioning as a satellite to Plant 1. - Direct all production activities to meet targets, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and production standards. - Oversee all support functions to ensure achievement of safety, quality, production, and cost objectives. - Implement essential shop-floor management routines critical to the success of a press shop. - Ensure adequate availability of resources. - Supervise the performance of subordinates.

Minimum Requirements
- National Diploma in Operations Management, Technology Management, Engineering, or Production Management - Minimum of 5 yearsâ experience in quality management within the automotive sector - Minimum of 10 yearsâ experience in Press Shop, specifically in relevant press technology for car body surface and structural components (high-tonnage mechanical presses) - Minimum of 10 yearsâ supervisory experience in the Tier 1 automotive industry - Minimum of 2 yearsâ experience in tool and jig manufacturing or maintenance - Minimum of 5 yearsâ experience in managing demanding OEM customers - Knowledge of new project management, especially in tool approval and commissioning processes - Demonstrated experience in all core operational roles (Planning, Logistics, Quality, Production, Maintenance, Process Engineering) - A lean mindset with a focus on efficiency improvements - Proficiency in managing a multi-tier organizational structure across shifts
