Degree in Law. Experience in Commercial Law and Insolvency Law is essential. Computer literate. Strong drafting, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Sound knowledge of Commercial Law and Insolvency Law. Excellent legal drafting skills. Strong organisational and time management abilities. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good interpersonal and negotiation skills. Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines. High level of professionalism and confidentiality.
Handle commercial law and insolvency matters from inception to completion. Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements and legal documents. Conduct legal research and prepare legal opinions. Consult with clients and provide legal advice. Draft pleadings, affidavits, notices, and correspondence. Appear in court where required. Attend consultations, negotiations, and settlement discussions. Liaise with clients, counsel, sheriffs, correspondents, and other stakeholders. Maintain and manage legal files and ensure compliance with court rules and deadlines. Assist senior attorneys with complex legal matters. Monitor developments in relevant legislation and case law.
