### Vacancy Overview Dis‑Chem Pharmacies Limited is seeking a dedicated Merchandiser for its Thavhani Mall outlet. The selected candidate will be responsible for upholding Dis‑Chem’s merchandising standards and delivering exceptional customer service.

### Minimum Qualifications **Essential** - Completed Grade 12 / Matriculation - Up to 6 months of retail experience - Proficient in MS Office applications - Availability to work during retail hours

**Preferred** - Minimum of 1 year in a retail environment

### Core Responsibilities

• **Stock Management** – Replenish merchandise promptly to maximize sales opportunities. - **Receiving & Storage** – Ensure incoming stock and items taken from the storeroom are stored and packed correctly and on time. - **Shelf Maintenance** – Keep shelf stock free of expired items, maintain full product range, and apply FIFO rotation consistently. - **Stock Reporting** – Notify management of low or out‑of‑stock items, damaged goods, and expired stock. - **Inventory Support** – Assist with stock counting, file management, and general stocktaking activities. - **Visual Merchandising** – Adhere to Dis‑Chem’s operating standards, store layout, and planograms. Flatten boxes after unpacking and move them to the designated area. Present front‑shop shelves and products neatly, with accurate labels and pricing. - **Display Management** – Build, face up, and maintain merchandising displays. Stay updated on current and new product lines. - **Daily Store Maintenance** – Maintain the physical upkeep of the store and merchandise displays. Manage designated stock in both the storeroom and on the shop floor. - **Logistics** – Support loading and unloading of stock; clearly mark items lacking barcodes. - **Back‑shopping Assistance** – Help with back‑shopping tasks and training of new staff. - **Customer Service** – Offer friendly, helpful, and courteous assistance to all customers. Follow up on out‑of‑stock queries using the customer service list and resolve all customer stock inquiries. - **Uniform & Compliance** – Wear the correct uniform and badge at all times. Handle merchandise carefully to minimize losses. Follow Dis‑Chem policies, SOPs, and health & safety regulations.
