In a leading plastics manufacturing and food packaging company, a search is underway for an experienced National Distribution Manager to join their team in Olifantsfontein. The successful candidate will possess a strong background in national warehouse operations, distribution networks, logistics coordination, inventory management, and strategic planning.


Key Responsibilities: - Oversee national warehousing and distribution operations across multiple locations. - Develop and implement strategic plans for warehouse operations and distribution networks. - Create and implement standardized operating procedures (SOPs) for consistent and efficient warehouse management. - Establish and maintain robust inventory control systems, adhering to First-In, First-Out (FIFO) principles. - Conduct regular stock takes, reconciliations, and ensure inventory accuracy in accordance with company policy. - Manage stock movements, providing support to direct reports. - Coordinate with third-party logistics providers for timely and cost-effective delivery of goods. - Negotiate contracts with suppliers and service providers to secure favorable terms. - Oversee fleet management and maintenance. - Implement and monitor quality control processes to uphold high standards of product handling and distribution. - Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify and mitigate risks. - Lead, mentor, and develop warehouse and distribution teams. - Set departmental objectives and KPIs, reviewing the ongoing performance of direct reports. - Foster a culture of continuous improvement and employee engagement. - Supervise facilities management and housekeeping activities. - Fulfill any additional reasonable tasks as assigned.
