Position Overview: The purpose of this role is to provide exceptional customer support, guiding customers to the most appropriate products for their needs. This entails delivering outstanding customer service to ensure satisfaction and drive sales, thereby boosting business growth and enhancing profit margins.
Key Responsibilities: - Deliver professional and helpful service to customers - Increase sales and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction through superior customer service - Monitor and manage stock levels, conducting regular stock counts - Offer expert advice on products to meet customer requirements - Place stock orders with suppliers when necessary - Handle administrative duties including customer records, special order files, and invoice forwarding - Ensure proper merchandising and accurate product pricing - Participate in periodic stock takes - Maintain a clean and organized work area - Execute any additional tasks assigned by management
Qualifications: - Matric or equivalent; 120 credits from completed Intercept courses - Minimum 2 years of experience in a hardware retail setting - Basic familiarity with plumbing products, preferably 2 years of experience - Completion of Brights Induction (Service Excellence) - In-house merchandising and basic sales training - 2 x Department Product Knowledge Certificate - Natural sales aptitude - Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
