Our client, located in Mossel Bay, is looking for a seasoned and enthusiastic Showroom Manager to join their team in Hartenbos. This position offers an exciting chance for a sales-oriented professional with a deep understanding of the retail furniture or interior design sector, who is committed to delivering top-notch showroom experiences. The successful candidate will bring a track record in sales, manage showroom operations, and build strong industry connections.

Requirements: - 3–5+ years of experience in showroom management or senior retail sales roles within the furniture, home décor, or interior design industry. - Established and verifiable connections with interior decorators, architects, and trade procurement clients. - Thorough knowledge of furniture manufacturing, upholstery, timber, fabrics, and the performance of indoor and outdoor materials. - Proficiency with inventory and POS software (e.g., OMNI, SAP, or similar retail ERP systems) as well as Microsoft Office and Google Workspace. - Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and relationship-building skills, with a consultative approach to sales. - Fluency in both English and Afrikaans. - A valid South African driver’s license and reliable personal transport.

Duties: Sales & Business Development (Retail & Trade): - Drive showroom sales to meet and surpass monthly and annual revenue goals. - Foster and manage relationships with local interior designers, architects, and property developers to expand trade opportunities. - Host private consultations, showroom tours, and exclusive networking events for trade partners. - Assist retail customers with personalized design consultations, product specifications, customization options, and material choices.

Showroom Management & Operations: - Maintain high standards of visual merchandising, showroom layout, and floor displays in line with brand guidelines. - Oversee daily operations to ensure a premium and welcoming experience for all visitors. - Manage sales processing, customer quotations, orders, and payment reconciliations through the ERP/POS system. - Coordinate with logistics and warehouse teams to ensure timely delivery and installation for trade and retail clients.

Team Leadership & Coaching: - Lead, mentor, and motivate sales staff to deliver exceptional customer service. - Set individual sales targets, monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), and conduct regular performance reviews. - Provide ongoing training in product knowledge, objection handling, and trade sales strategies.

Reporting & Inventory Control: - Conduct stock audits, monitor inventory levels, and manage showroom display floor stock. - Provide weekly and monthly reports on sales performance, foot traffic, conversion rates, and trade account activity to senior management.
