Our client, a thriving corporate commodity trading company, is seeking an SQL Administrator / SQL Developer to join their team. Candidates must hold a relevant Degree / National Diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering or MCITP and possess at least 2 years of experience in SQL DBA and SQL Development.

Qualifications, Minimum Requirements, and Skills:

• Relevant Degree/National Diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or MCITP is essential. - Minimum of 2+ years of SQL DBA & SQL Development experience is required. - Proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server 2012 / 2017 / 2019, especially in database administration, including installation and troubleshooting. - Expertise in T-SQL Scripting, Backup and recovery, Replication Database Security. - Experience with performance tuning on SQL queries / stored procedures. - Familiarity with log shipping, disaster recovery solutions, and partitioning. - Ability to work under pressure when necessary. - Advantageous skills in Automation, Excel, and Programming.

Key Performance Areas

• Administer Microsoft SQL Server database environments. - Develop T-SQL scripts and functions for both new and existing applications. - Troubleshoot and resolve server, database, and data issues. - Ensure security maintenance of server and database. - Maintain and monitor SQL environments.

• Create new reports or dashboards based on supplied requirements. - Perform tests to ensure accurate compliance with project requirements. - Document processes as necessary.
